Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for an extended assignment in Ekalaka, MT. Working at the brand-new, state-of-the-art facility at Dahl Memorial Healthcare Association, you will provide comprehensive physical therapy services to a tight-knit rural community, spanning outpatient, long-term care (LTC), and emergency settings.
Position Details
- Position Type: Travel Assignment (26 to 52-week contracts available)
- Shift: 5x8 Days (40 hours/week, Monday β Friday with occasional weekend coverage as needed)
- Expected Start Date: ASAP
- Location: Ekalaka, MT (Note: This is a scenic, small rural town of about 400 people featuring all dirt roads, located 2 hours from the nearest Walmartβideal for someone who loves the outdoors and true community healthcare!)
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Instruct, motivate, safeguard, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under the direction of the staff Physical Therapist.
- Modality Application: Apply basic awareness of physical medicine, anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy modalities to patient treatments.
- Data & Monitoring: Observe patients during treatment to compile and evaluate response data, reporting progress to the staff Physical Therapist. Monitor vital signs and maintain an accurate knowledge base regarding cardiovascular and respiratory precautions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Demonstrate basic knowledge of physical therapy machine operation, maintenance, and routine repairs.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of full-time specialty experience.
- Licensure/Certification: Active state Physical Therapist (PT) license (preferred) and current AHA BLS certification.
- Submission Compliance: Fully formatted resume explaining any employment gaps greater than 30 days and listing city/state for all past employers. Must include a specialty-specific skills checklist and professional references.
Compensation & Perks
- Weekly Pay Range: $2,189.83 β $2,576.27 per week (Pre-tax)
