Travel Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a flexible, independent, and community-minded Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for a 13-week travel assignment at Maniilaq Association in Kotzebue, AK. This is an incredible opportunity to serve a unique, close-knit community where 85% of the population is Native Alaskan. Position Details

  • Location: Kotzebue, AK
  • Pay Range: $2,558.50 – $3,010.00 / week (Pre-tax)
  • Expected Start Date: July 6, 2026
  • Duration: 13-week assignment (36 hours/week)
  • Shift: 3x12 Days (No block scheduling available)
  • Travel & Housing: 100% Covered! Fully provided dorm-style or studio housing (shared spaces, no pets or overnight visitors permitted). Standard coach/main cabin airfare is also fully reimbursed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality emergency nursing care within an integrated tribal health system.
  • Manage a variety of cases, including behavioral health patients.
  • Remain flexible and willing to cross-train or float to Med-Surg (MS) or other departments as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • License: Current Alaska (AK) RN license in hand at the time of submission.
  • Experience: 2+ years of recent ED experience is required. Behavioral Health experience is strongly preferred.
  • Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS.
  • Soft Skills: High adaptability, strong independent clinical judgment, and deep cultural sensitivity.
  • Time Off: No Requested Time Off (RTO) permitted for this contract.
