Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Contract

Location: Miami, FL (West Kendall)

Shift: Night Shift (3x12s | 36 hours/week) – Includes weekend rotation

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks

Pay Range: Up to $2,489.46 / week


Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment at West Kendall Baptist Hospital in Miami, FL.


In this role, you will deliver high-quality cardiopulmonary care to patients across general medical, surgical, and intensive care units. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with all-private patient rooms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to physician orders and established clinical protocols.
  • Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators, airway management devices, and blood gas analysis.
  • Provide emergency respiratory support in acute settings, including 24-hour emergency care and intensive care units.
  • Assess patient response to therapy, document clinical progress in Cerner, and communicate care plans with attending physicians and nursing staff.
  • Maintain strict safety, infection control, and professional healthcare standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Academic Diploma/Transcript required at submission (High School, Associate's, or Bachelor's).
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
  • Certifications (AHA Only):
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA
  • Restrictions: Candidates whose permanent address / Driver's License falls within Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, or Monroe counties (or within 50 miles of the site) are not eligible for this contract.
  • Health Clearances: Mandatory Flu Vaccine required prior to start. Must be willing to complete on-site PPE fit testing (clean-shaven requirement).
