Certified Medical Assistant (MA) – Auburn, WA

Location: Auburn, WA

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay Range: $20.40 – $24.00 / hour

Shift / Schedule: Part-Time (13–18 hours/week)

  • Friday: 5:30 AM start (8 or 10-hour shift)
  • Saturday: 5:30 AM – 11:00 AM

Expected Assignment Dates: 8/10/2026 – 2/6/2027


Position Overview

Join our team at We Care Daily Clinics (WCDC) in Auburn, WA as an OTP Medical Assistant! WCDC is a warm, welcoming, and modern Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) facility dedicated to renewing hope and purpose for individuals battling opioid use. We utilize FDA-approved medication paired with behavioral health counseling in a supportive, person-centered environment.

In this role, you will adhere to and value the philosophical priorities of the Harm Reduction Model, ensuring every patient is treated with respect, compassion, and dignity while supporting clinical providers with patient flow, administrative functions, and basic medical procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care & Workflow:
    • Prepare examination rooms, lavatories, and treatment areas; maintain clean and stocked facilities.
    • Review patient schedules and EMRs in advance to identify and present outstanding medical reports to attending providers.
    • Prepare patients for visits, examinations, and procedures, accurately obtaining and documenting vital signs and required screenings.
    • Collect urine drug screens (UA), including observed collections as indicated by the multidisciplinary team.
    • Perform blood draws, EKGs, and other routine medical office procedures.
  • Clinic Operations & Security:
    • Ensure implementation of clinic policies and strict protection of patient rights and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
    • Help maintain the security of medications, patient records, and required DEA/state documentation.
    • Assist in the care, cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of medical equipment and instruments.
    • Maintain supply inventories and assist with administrative/clerical tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education & Credentials:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
    • Active Medical Assistant Certification valid in Washington State (MA-C) is required.
  • Experience & Skills:
    • 1+ years of patient care experience in a clinical setting.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with EKGs, blood draws (phlebotomy), and UA collections preferred.
    • Experience in an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) or addiction medicine setting is a plus.
    • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, EMR systems) and strong time management skills.
  • General Requirements:
    • Strong diplomatic, communication, and conflict-resolution skills in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to pass required background checks and drug screenings.
