Lead Pharmacy Technician
Location: Ekalaka, MT
Shift / Hours: 5x8 Days (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday – Friday) | 40 hours/week
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Expected Start Date: August 24, 2026 (Includes 1-week training)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Ekalaka, Montana. In this role, you will take the lead in managing daily pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate medication preparation and compliance while working alongside support staff in a modern healthcare facility. Free housing is provided for the duration of the assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day pharmacy technician duties and maintain smooth workflow within the department.
- Prepare, compound, and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain accurate inventory, monitor drug expiration dates, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals.
- Provide guidance and support to non-certified pharmacy staff.
- Ensure strict adherence to state/federal regulations and facility policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required.
- Licensure: Active Pharmacy Technician license/registration in the state of Montana (or eligibility to obtain).
- Experience: Prior pharmacy technician experience required; lead or supervisory experience preferred.
- Schedule: Ability to work a full-time 5x8 day shift (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, M–F).
