Location: Torrance, CA

Job Type: Contract / Travel Assignment

Shift: 12-Hour Nights

Assignment Duration: 8 Weeks (with potential for extension)

Pay Rate: Up to $90.00 / hour (commensurate with experience)

📌 Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery (L&D) RN to join our healthcare team in Torrance, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in intrapartum care, high-risk labor management, and fetal monitoring, along with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care during delivery and immediate postpartum stages.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage intrapartum, delivery, and immediate recovery care for maternity patients.
  • Continuous monitoring of fetal heart rate, maternal vital signs, and labor progression.
  • Assist physicians during normal, high-risk, and emergent vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidural monitoring according to protocols.
  • Perform newborn initial assessment and stabilization directly following delivery.
  • Educate expectant parents on labor progression, pain management, post-delivery recovery, and infant care.

📋 Requirements & Qualifications

  • License: Active California RN License (in good standing).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of recent L&D acute care experience in a high-volume facility.
  • Certifications Required:
    • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring
    • MAB / CPI Certification
    • LA City Fire and Life Safety Card (if applicable/required by facility)
