Medical Assistant (MA) — Oakland, CA
Job Summary We are seeking a qualified Medical Assistant (MA) for a contract assignment in Oakland, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong phlebotomy skills, proficiency with Epic, and experience administering immunizations and taking vitals.
Position Details
- Location: Oakland, CA
- Shift: Days (Flexible schedule, 3–5 days/week, 8 hours/day; 24–40 hours/week)
- Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
- Pay Range: $23.80 – $28.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care lab testing.
- Administer immunizations (e.g., Flu, Hepatitis B, Tdap).
- Obtain and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, oxygen saturation).
- Utilize Epic EHR software for clinical documentation and scheduling.
- Provide front-desk support, including patient check-in procedures.
- Assist with patient referrals, inventory management, and clinical procedures (e.g., body composition testing).
Qualifications
- Active MA certification.
- Strong phlebotomy skills required.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Epic EHR and general tech systems.
