Minimum experience: 3 years in a large volume ED with high acuity patient

Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, & TNCC
Skills required: barcode scanning med administration, managing medication drips, blood product administration, triage experience required - must pass hospital’s Triage Test before allowed to triage, ability to set up chest tubes, art lines, assist with trauma and code cases, splinting, bipap/vents, good understanding of ESI; pediatric emergency medicine experience is highly preferred, experience with Point of Care Labs is a plus.
Patient Types: Neonate to geriatric, Level III trauma center, pediatrics (medical and trauma). stroke (administer TNK), cardiac (cath lab), behavioral health and substance use disorder, busiest ED in the state, transfer out (stabilize and ship): neurosurgery, multi-system trauma, high acuity peds patients
Patient Ratios: 1:3-5 based on acuity; fast track (13 beds, “green zone”), ER is set up in zones
EMR: EPIC, strongly preferred
Floating: no
Weekend rotation: every other (may work back-to-back weekends, rare) looking for flexibility
On call? no
Shift times: Days: 7a-7p, 9a–9p, Mids: 10a-10p, 11a-11p, 12p-12a, 1p-1a, 2p-2a, Eves: 3p-3a, Nights: 7p-7a
